  • Remember to update Halton Transportation of any busing changes for 2019-20 A reminder that if your family is moving in July and August or you are making changes to your childcare arrangements which will affect transportation, please contact Halton Transportation directly (transportation@haltonbus.ca) so that they can ensure transportation is in place for the first day of school. For security reasons, parents MUST provide an OEN to HSTS staff when requesting their child's student transportation information.Transportation information will be available for students with an OEN the third week of August through haltonbus.ca.  Please go to the haltonbus.ca 'Sign In' page and select the Parent/Student icon.Students without an OEN who are eligible for busing and have been entered registered at the school by August 8th ...

  • Outdoor Learning Opportunities Many classes are looking forward to upcoming trips to Bronte Creek and other outdoor learning opportunities. As the weather changes, students are still required to wear closed toe shoes for any outdoor learning trips (no sandals or flip flops). We also strongly suggest the students wear light long pants (preferable to shorts) so they can tuck their pants into their socks. The weather is beginning to warm up so it is time to consider tick prevention. One way to avoid ticks is to wear splash or long pants with an elastic bottom, tucked into boots or socks.   • The LLC is looking For: Seeds and Lego The Falgarwood LLC (Library Learning Commons) is building a seed library! If you have seeds to donate (e.g., flowers, fruit, veggies, etc.), please drop them off to Ms. Hastings in the LLC. Please make sure seeds are labeled, including the name of the species and the date (year) they were harvested (if you know).  Mrs. Hastings is also is looking for Lego (regular sized, not Duplo) for the LLC maker space! If you have some you can spare (loose or in kits), please bring it in!

  • Prescribed Medication Forms 1 & 2 (Parent & Dr. Signatures required) A reminder to parents that any prescribed medication (e.g., EpiPen, puffer, antibiotics) that a student is required to take during the school day, must be accompanied by "form 1" and "form 2" which require both a parent and prescribing Regulated Health Care Provider (e.g., physician) signatures. Families are encouraged to visit their Health Care Provider prior to the start of school to ensure all forms are completed for the first day of school.

  • Avoid Parking Tickets near our School Parking Reminders:Dropping off and picking students up in school areas can cause a lot of extra traffic congestion. Illegally stopped or parked cars are a safety risk as they make it hard for other drivers to see pedestrians, particularly children, crossing the street. For these reasons, streets around our school have “No Stopping” and “No Parking” signs installed.
