Class Building

The planning process that will result in the school / class organization for the 2018-2019 school year will be beginning in the coming months. Our primary goal at Falgarwood is to develop balanced classes. A balanced class reflects the diversity of our community and allows the variety of interests and talents of our learners to emerge and be appreciated. Please note that parental input is important to us and is weighed with other criteria. Specific teacher requests

cannot be considered. Rather, if necessary, parental input can be provided by completing the online Google input form that will be sent home in the upcoming week.

Continuing Partnership with our Community!

The Iroquois Ridge High School Reading Buddies Program for Primary students (grades 1-3) will begin April 5th and will run for 8 weeks. Iroquois Ridge High School students will read 2 times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays with primary students for 20 minutes each day. Students will have an opportunity to practise their reading skills while developing a positive relationship with a student mentor. This has been a huge success in previous years and we love seeing some of our former students joining us once again!

In addition to the reading program, the Iroquois Ridge High School students will be running intra-murals for grade 3 students at second nutrition break on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 5th and running until May 17th.

Last Pizza Block
Our final pizza block begins April 13th.  Just a reminder that we are only accepting pre ordered pizza. Students may not buy pizza at school on pizza day.

We Need You!
For the past 14 years, Niki Jandrew has been running our pizza lunch program.  Unfortunately for Falgarwood, this is Niki’s last year volunteering with us.  We are currently looking for a parent (or parent team) to run our pizza program in 2018/19.  Niki has graciously offered to help you learn the ins and outs of pizza lunch.

The pizza lunch program is a huge fundraiser for our school.  It also saves parents from packing a lunch once a week and as everyone knows, the kids love their pizza!!  If this sounds like a volunteer position you would be interested in, please contact Danielle Ferguson at or Deanna Carless at

Kiss “N” Ride

Thank you to those parents who are using our Kiss “N” Ride.   Our staff are doing their best to create a safe and efficient entry.  Please pull up right to the end before your child exits your car. We are trying to keep cars from backing up onto the street. Yes, we know patience is needed! Thank you for helping to keep all our students safe!

School Parking lot

Did you know our parking lot has hours?  The parking lot is closed between the following times; 9-9:15 am (besides Kiss “N” Ride) and 3:45-4 pm.

This is to keep your children safe and away from the buses.  Parents if you are picking up your child after school please find a meeting place other than the front parking lot.  Students are dismissed out onto the blacktop at the end of the day.

  • Jungle Sport JungleSport is coming soon!  This term, we raised funds to bring the Junglesport program to our school. All K-8 students will be given the opportunity to participate in JungleSports at Falgarwood the week of April 3rd-6th.  Please return your permission forms as soon as possible.  This awesome program will teach our primary, junior and intermediate students team building, problem solving and decision making through a fun and physical obstacle course.  The cost of a full day obstacle course and ropes program is not insignificant, so we are very excited to be able bring Junglesport to Falgarwood with the help of your donations from the Dance-a-thon.

  • Avoid Parking Tickets near our School Watch Out, Watch Out, Parking Tickets Will Be About !Parking NoticeThe Town of Oakville has recently received complaints regarding parking around Falgarwood Public School.Dropping off and picking students up in school areas can cause a lot of extra traffic congestion. For these reasons, streets around our school have “No Stopping” and “No Parking” signs installed. Please learn the difference between No Stopping and No Parking and help keep our school area safe for children. No stopping -No stopping means the halting of your vehicle is prohibited, even momentarily and even if occupied. No ...
