  • Prescribed Medication & Plan of Care A reminder to parents that any prescribed medication (e.g., EpiPen, puffer, antibiotics) that a student is required to take during the school day, must be accompanied by "Form 1 - School Personnel to Administer" and/or "Form 2 - Self-Administration".   • CALLING ALL FALGARWOOD BAKERS!  We are looking for donations of cupcakes, brownies, squares, cookies and/or mini cakes for the Cake Walk at this year’s FUN FAIR.  The Cake Walk game is a favourite among our students; they all love having the chance to win your delicious treats!   • Tell Them From Me Survey In our continuing effort to improve school effectiveness, we will be implementing the Tell Them From Me student survey (TTFM). The TTFM survey allows students to have a voice about their school climate, context, and experiences of school. Feedback is anonymous and is used by schools and the Halton District School Board to set goals and monitor targets related to school and Board improvement plans. During the course of the school year, all students will be given an opportunity to participate.  Please see the attached letter for more information.

  • June 28th - Early Dismissal A reminder that the last day of school - Friday, June 28th the school ends 90 minutes earlier. Our day will end at 2:15 pm. Please ensure that appropriate arrangements are made for pick up at 2:15 pm.  All buses will also leave the school at 2:15 pm. For students who take school bus transportation to school: Halton Student Transportation Service (HSTS) has a bus stop calculator on their webpage for parents/guardians to use to calculate their child(ren)'s bus stop times on this day.   For students who walk to school: Crossing guards will be in place based on the change in schedule for the day.

  • Outdoor Learning Opportunities Many classes are looking forward to upcoming trips to Bronte Creek and other outdoor learning opportunities. As the weather changes, students are still required to wear closed toe shoes for any outdoor learning trips (no sandals or flip flops). We also strongly suggest the students wear light long pants (preferable to shorts) so they can tuck their pants into their socks. The weather is beginning to warm up so it is time to consider tick prevention. One way to avoid ticks is to wear splash or long pants with an elastic bottom, tucked into boots or socks.   • The LLC is looking For: Seeds and Lego The Falgarwood LLC (Library Learning Commons) is building a seed library! If you have seeds to donate (e.g., flowers, fruit, veggies, etc.), please drop them off to Ms. Hastings in the LLC. Please make sure seeds are labeled, including the name of the species and the date (year) they were harvested (if you know).  Mrs. Hastings is also is looking for Lego (regular sized, not Duplo) for the LLC maker space! If you have some you can spare (loose or in kits), please bring it in!

A message from School Council - Hello Falgarwood Families!  Do you own a small business?  Would you like to have the opportunity to be a Vendor at the June 21st Falgarwood Fun Fair?  We may have a spot for you.  For a donation to our basket raffle we will set you up with a table and chairs on which you can promote your business and/or sell your wears!
