Principal's Message

Hello there Falgarwood Families,

Our 50th Anniversary Celebration Arts Night was a huge success. Whilst the weather wasn’t kind to us,  smiles were sunny and hearts were warmed by the positive energy in the building. Student presentations in the red gym and Library Learning Commons were fabulous. The Cafe Francais was a huge hit - many thanks to our local community who provided us with some of the refreshments. Our team were golden! School council members helped to sell refreshments, T-shirts and memory bricks. Staff mingled with guests and visitors and led the entertainment with the students. Many alumni attended and had a wonderful opportunity to walk down memory lane and chat about the good old days!

Mayor Burton, Councillor Adams, HDSB Director Miller and Superintendent Pennyfather were among the dignitaries who helped us celebrate this momentos occasion. The school building was full of beautiful works of art. Our own student cooks treated us to a beautiful buffet - Thanks to Mrs Emmerson and Miss Herndorrf’s classes!  A celebration cake, and souvenir cookies, wildflower seeds and evergreen saplings, were our thank you to our stakeholders  and a  gift for mother nature.

If you would still like to purchase an anniversary T-shirt or memory brick, these can be purchased on cashless or by cheque - please contact the office for details. If you would like to make a donation to the ongoing development of our outdoor learning classroom, let me know. If you were unable to attend, contact your child’s teacher for your souvenir packet of wildflower seeds.  Thank you to the whole community for your continuing support as we look forward to another 50  years of learning!

Mrs Dodds and the Falgarwood Team

  • Avoid Parking Tickets near our School Watch Out, Watch Out, Parking Tickets Will Be About !Parking NoticeThe Town of Oakville has recently received complaints regarding parking around Falgarwood Public School.Dropping off and picking students up in school areas can cause a lot of extra traffic congestion. Illegally stopped or parked cars are a safety risk as they make it hard for other drivers to see pedestrians, particularly children, crossing the street. For these reasons, streets around our school have “No Stopping” and “No Parking” signs installed. Please learn the difference between No Stopping and No Parking and help keep our school area safe for children. No stopping -No stopping means the halting of your vehicle is prohibited, even momentarily and even if occupied. No ...
