Week at the Woods

We Need You!
For the past 14 years, Niki Jandrew has been running our pizza lunch program.  Unfortunately for Falgarwood, this is Niki’s last year volunteering with us.  We are currently looking for a parent (or parent team) to run our pizza program in 2018/19.  Niki has graciously offered to help you learn the ins and outs of pizza lunch.

The pizza lunch program is a huge fundraiser for our school.  It also saves parents from packing a lunch once a week and as everyone knows, the kids love their pizza!!  If this sounds like a volunteer position you would be interested in, please contact Danielle Ferguson at or Deanna Carless at

Welcome to Falgarwood
We are excited to Welcome Angela Perica as our new Sr. Secratary at Falgarwood. Please take a moment to welcome Mrs. Perica when you visit our office.

Pink Shirt Day
Our Me to We committee will be leading an assembly on Feb. 28th to recognize pink day. All staff and students are asked to show their support by wearing pink.

Winter Olympics
All students will be participating in the winter Olympics on Thursday, March 1st.  Please ensure students are dressed for the weather as we will be spending a large portion of the day outside.

Kiss “N” Ride

Thank you to those parents who are using our Kiss “N” Ride.   Our staff are doing their best to create a safe and efficient entry.  Please pull up right to the end before your child exits your car. We are trying to keep cars from backing up onto the street. Yes, we know patience is needed! Thank you for helping to keep all our students safe!

School Parking lot

Did you know our parking lot has hours?  The parking lot is closed between the following times; 9-9:15 am (besides Kiss “N” Ride) and 3:45-4 pm.

This is to keep your children safe and away from the buses.  Parents if you are picking up your child after school please find a meeting place other than the front parking lot.  Students are dismissed out onto the blacktop at the end of the day.

Winter Weather

Cold weather is here now! Please ensure that your child comes to school prepared to participate in all activities, including outdoor breaks. All students will be going outside during the recess. Playing outdoors is an enjoyable and healthy activity when students are wearing suitable clothing. Students can not be supervised indoors.

Principal's Message

I am thrilled to join the team at Falgarwood as Principal!  At the completion of my first week here, I am thankful for the warm welcome I received from students, staff, and parents. If you are stopping by the school to pick-up or drop-off your child, please introduce yourself.  I look forward to meeting and working with all of you!

Mr. Nick Frankovich
