  • Falgarwood Family Math Night - Thursday April 25th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm All families are invited to our Family Math Night!You will have the opportunity to do some hands-on math alongside your child while deepening your understanding of how math is taught today. Our staff and students are so excited to share what has been happening in our classrooms with you, and provide you with ideas on how to further support your child’s learning at home.   • The LLC is looking For: Seeds and Lego The Falgarwood LLC (Library Learning Commons) is building a seed library! If you have seeds to donate (e.g., flowers, fruit, veggies, etc.), please drop them off to Ms. Hastings in the LLC. Please make sure seeds are labeled, including the name of the species and the date (year) they were harvested (if you know).  Mrs. Hastings is also is looking for Lego (regular sized, not Duplo) for the LLC maker space! If you have some you can spare (loose or in kits), please bring it in!

  • CALLING VENDORS! A message from School Council - Hello Falgarwood Families!  Do you own a small business?  Would you like to have the opportunity to be a Vendor at the June 21st Falgarwood Fun Fair?  We may have a spot for you.  For a donation to our basket raffle we will set you up with a table and chairs on which you can promote your business and/or sell your wears!   • Have your Say Survey The Halton District School Board is inviting students, parents, staff and community members to participate in the online engagement survey: Have Your Say. Topics for feedback include learning opportunities, communication, involvement in schools, technology use, equitable and inclusive learning environments, and transportation. The surveys are open for all groups from Feb. 1 to April 5, 2019. The information gathered from the survey will help the Board continue to create a positive learning environment to help shape school improvement and well-being plans.   • BUS TRANSPORTATION On the rare occasion when buses are running late, our transportation department has made it easy to check and see if your family has been affected. Go to the HSTS website at and click on the ‘Delays and Cancellations’ link on the left-hand side of the main page. This will take you to a page which displays the bus routes that are currently delayed and the length of the delay.You can also visit the HSTS website and sign up to receive an email which automatically notifies the subscriber when the bus is delayed and the length of the delay. Parents can sign up to receive late bus information for their child’s route only

  • Wasteless Wednesday Falgarwood is introducing Wasteless Wednesdays.  Our goal is to encourage litterless lunches and reduce the overall amount of waste produced as a school.  Children are encouraged to place their organic waste in the green bins and their recyclables in the blue bins, along with minimizing the amount of waste they bring in their lunch, by using re-usable containers.  Thank you for your continued support in making our school a greener place!

  • Prescribed Medication Forms 1 & 2 (Parent & Dr. Signatures required) A reminder to parents that any prescribed medication (e.g., EpiPen, puffer, antibiotics) that a student is required to take during the school day, must be accompanied by "form 1" and "form 2" which require both a parent and prescribing Regulated Health Care Provider (e.g., physician) signatures. Families are encouraged to visit their Health Care Provider prior to the start of school to ensure all forms are completed for the first day of school.

This routine is essential for student safety, plant security and efficient operation of emergency evacuation procedures. We must know who is in the building at all times in order to provide the safest possible environment for your children.
