Principal's Message - Week of Sept. 8

Hello Falgarwood families,

We are so pleased to welcome you back from your summer holidays! Falgarwood is already busy with learning. Please read this message in its entirety as it contains some important information.

We have a new, vibrant, enriched and excited teaching team who come with extensive experience in teaching and learning, empowering modern learners, mental health, climate, robotics, coding and coaching. They are collaborative and are committed to bringing the best to your children each day.  

Each class has a Google Classroom. Be sure to connect with your child’s Google classroom as teachers will be posting classroom information there. Remember to check our school website as it is updated weekly. Both communication modules will have important information. 

As we transition into fall, there may be extremely hot days. During these times, we will be keeping our students inside or we will shorten their time outside.

Our Open House is scheduled for Thursday September 28th from 6 – 7 pm. Please come out to meet your child’s teacher. We are looking forward to connecting with you! Our settlement worker, The Welcome Centre and Oakville Library will also be there.

If your child has a health concern, medication or plan of care, be sure to drop off medication and fill out the appropriate forms. Our office staff are here to help you.  We have health plans here at the school and we update them regularly and communicate them to our staff. 

You should have received an email with an electronic media and walking form to complete. A paper form also went home outlining participation in physical education. Be sure to complete these forms as soon as possible.
