"Dot" Spirit Day - Friday, September 14th

posted Sep 12, 2018, 11:47 AM by Erin Keen

This Friday, September 14th, we celebrate International Dot Day, a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration, inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book, "The Dot".

"The Dot" is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing." (The Dot Club, 2018).

Students are encouraged to 'make their mark' by wearing polka dots or any size, design and colour this Friday.  Together we can build community, foster creativity and explore what makes us who we are.  Show your spots, Falgarwood!
